On 11 June 2025, as SNEC kicked off at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), Osda Solar captivated the crowds with the full OSDA N series and its end-to-end smart-energy portfolio, emerging as one of the most talked-about exhibitors on the show floor.
Osda Solar officially launched the OSDA N MAX 730 W large-format module. Featuring the breakthrough 0BB (busbar-free) technology, it stole the spotlight and drew intense interest from industry professionals and customers alike.
0BB is at the cutting edge of PV technology. By eliminating busbars on the cell, it sharply boosts module-level conversion efficiency. The new OSDA N MAX delivers up to 23.5 % efficiency—generating more than 15 % additional energy under the same irradiance compared with conventional modules. The busbar-free layout shortens current paths inside the cell, cutting series resistance and power loss while enhancing overall performance and reliability. Moreover, the advanced welding process used in 0BB reduces the number of solder joints, minimizing failure risks from poor soldering and further extending the module’s service life.
Production of the OSDA N MAX 730 W module will be centered at Osda Solar’s new Jiaxing campus—a facility that is both a high-output manufacturing hub and a flagship green-energy showcase. The plant’s rooftop has just commissioned a 7.2 MW PV array with a total capacity of 7,175.6 kWp. Expected to generate 7.23 GWh annually, the system will deliver roughly 180.65 GWh over 25 years—equivalent to saving 2,203.93 t of standard coal and cutting 5,881.96 t of CO₂, 44.8 t of SOx and 15.17 t of NOx emissions each year—making a significant contribution to local carbon reduction and sustainable development.
The project is further equipped with an intelligent energy-management system that monitors and optimizes power generation, storage and consumption in real time, maximizing energy efficiency. By supplying clean electricity to the Jiaxing facility, it underscores Osda Solar’s unwavering commitment to green manufacturing and sustainable development.
Looking ahead, 0BB technology is poised to become a pivotal direction for the PV industry. As the technology matures, 0BB modules will achieve even higher conversion efficiencies at lower costs. The OSDA N MAX 730 W module is set to be widely deployed in distributed PV, large-scale ground-mounted plants and building-integrated photovoltaics, propelling the sector’s continuous growth. Osda Solar will continue to ramp up R&D investment, drive technological innovation and deliver ever more efficient and reliable solutions for the global PV market.
